Notes - John appears to have been named after John Lorne Stewart of Glenbuckie, who owned Stronvar and also resided in Campbelltown in Argyll. Presumably John Lorne Stewart was either a close friend or employer of the family. It should be noted that when one discounts the birth of John Lorne Stewart MCINTYRE then the remainder of the children all follow customary onomastic patterns. John immigrated to Renfrew County, Ontario Canada in 1831 with his parents.
