  Margaret McIntyre was born in 1831 in Campbelltown, Argyll, Scotland and immigrated at age two with her parents to Horton, Renfrew, Ontario, Canada. She never married nor had children. In 1908, Margaret wrote a letter to her niece Christina Margaret McIntyre (daughter of her older brother, John Lorne Stewart McIntyre) in which she describes the family of her maternal grandfather, James Og Stewart.
