  1871 Census, farmer at Euphemia. 1881 Canadian Census: Euphemia, Bothwell, Ontario, Canada 1901 Census lists John as a widower living with his son George. And shows his birth date as 10 Jul 1828. It also mistakenly shows his date of immigration as 1827, which is before he was born, and three years earlier than his brother Charles, the earliest to immigrate, is said to have come.
