- Andrew Stewrat is mentioned in The Ardvorlich History as residing in Glenogle in 1618.
"Andrew Stewart, against whom and his four accomplices the Privy Council granted a commission to William, Earl of Menteith, David, Lord Scone, Sir Duncan Campbell of Glenorchy and others on 11 June 1622 “for the stealing from the said Earl of certain goods” and is then styled son of Alexander Stewart in Glenogle."
