Notes - In 1841 John is the only child of this family not residing with his parents in Corriechrombie; he is residing in Callander town at the household of John McLaren. Presumably he is employed or apprenticing there, but the 1841 census does not give employment or relationships. In 1901 John is found in Seaforth, Huron County, Ontario, Canada residing next door to his uncle Alexander Stewart.
