- Mary Stewart was born in 1798 in Stronvar, Balquhidder, Perthshire, Scotland, although no record of Mary's baptism has been found. This is according to family records through her McItyre descendants which matches with the fact that her father James Og Stewart was residing at Stronvar at the time.
On 28 JUN 1828 in Campbelltown, Argyll, Scotland, Mary Stewart married to distant cousin, Peter McIntyre, who was from Carnlia, Balquhidder, Perthshire, Scotland, son of Duncan McIntyre and Margaret Stewart, of the McIntyre Family of Carnlia. Peter's mother, Margaret Stewart, descends from Donald Stewart in Keip (Stewarts of Dalveich Line 3).
They began their family in Campbelltown, Argyll, Scotland and then, in June/July 1831, they immigrated to Horton, Renfrew, Ontario, Canada.
In 1851, at age 54, Mary McIntyre was residing in Horton, Renfew, Ontario, Canada, with her husband Peter McIntyre, a farmer, and their children, John, Jane, James, Helen, Findlay and Christina.
In 1861, at age 62, Mary McIntyre was residing in Horton, Renfrew, Ontario, Canada, with her husband Peter McIntyre, a farmer, and their adult children, John, Mary, Margaret, Jane, James, Ellen, Finlay, Christian along with grandchildren, Peter and Mary Jane.
In 1871, at age 73, Mary McIntyre was residing in Admaston, Renfrew, Ontario, Canada, with her husband, Peter McIntyre, a farmer, and their 12 year old granddaughter, Jane McIntyre, and an unnamed 5 year old granddaughter. They were living nextdoor to their sons John and Findlay who had families of their own.
In 1881, at age 83, Mary McIntyre, a widow, was residing in the village of Renfew, Renfrew, Ontario, Canada, with her daughter Margaret.
Mary died 3 DEC 1884 in Renfrew, Ontario, Canada.
