- Robert is described in Stewarts of the South as: "Robert Stewart, formerly [a] tenant of Auchinaird (Auchnahard) [in] Glenfinglas [and] again of Coillechat near Doune, [which is] Auchessy's property, and [the property] formerly belonged to the ancient family of Musket (Muschet). [This Robert is a] cousin to the former Robert. [He] left three sons: two in the West Indies and the third [is a] schoolmaster at Bannockburn near Stirling."
