  Robert is listed in Stewarts of the South as one of the children of James Stewart in Crochavie. No description is given of Robert except to mention that he and his brother John were both residing with their elder half-brother Charles after their father died. Robert Stewart is listed in Mitchell's MIs in Brig o' Turk cemetery: 4. Robert STEWART, Culnagrein, died 60 JUN 1881, age 82, wife Margaret DRUMMOND, 28 JAN 1863, age 65, three children: Jane 31 JAN 1842, age 18, only son James, 28 MAY 1845, age 13, Isabella, 13 FEB 1852, age 15; Elizabeth, 23 JUL 1904, age 65. Robert is referred to in Malcolm Gray's notes as "of Offerings" (sic, Offerans on Loch Vennacher). The source of this reference is unknown but is presumably from family records. --------- Robert Stewart b. 1798 - d 1881. Parents James Stewart & Janet Stewart. Robert lived at Culnagraine, Invertrossachs, he is recored in the 1841, 51, 61 & 71 censuses at culnagraine. His son-in-law Duncan campbell takes over the tenancy & is there in 1881. Duncan died in 1888, but his widow (Mary Stewart) & son are recorded there in 1891. Robert Stewart’s grandson, Hugh Campbell is the estate manager, also in 1901. My grandfather Duncan Cecil Campbell was born here in 1897. The campbell family moved to Benderloch just after 1901. We are still here. Pictures are of Robert Stewart’s & his son-in-law Duncan Campbells graves at Brig O Turk. My grandfathers maternal side:his 2x great grandmother - Elizabeth Stewart b 1791 d. Before 1851.
