  The 1891 census gives Margaret's place of birth as Kirkby, Westmorland, England. 1911 gives it as Kirkby Stephen, Westmorland, England. All other sources giver her place of birth as Lancaster. A matching birth registration has been found for a Margaret Elizabeth Mason in July 1860 in Lancaster, but there is insufficient information to confirm that it is this Margaret. In 1891, Margaret is found residing with her daughters nowhere near her husband or the Angus family. Margaret is found in 1901 residing with her daughters, two doors from her husband and his birth family. A matching death record has been found for Margaret Roberts 1943 in Lancaster, born 1859, but there is insufficient information to confirm that it is this Margaret.
