Notes - Duncan McNab is listed in Statistics from the Annexed Estates for Western Strathearn (1755-56) as residing in Easter Glentarken.
"my 3-great-grandfather, Captain John McNab (1785-1854) raised his family in St. Fillans (and is buried in the 'old Culdee chapel' at Dundurn)
- Captain John's paternal grandmother was a Macnaughton, and his sister Margaret married a Macnaughton, and lived at Dunira
Your Duncan McNab would be of about the right vintage to be a brother of my 5-great-grandfather Iain Mohr McNab of Mid Lix (whose wife was Margaret Macnaughton).....Ian Mohr's father was Alexander, called "Proloch Mohr" (best guess is that's a phonetic spelling of Broilleach Mohr)." (Loraine Smith)
