  In 1851, Robert was residing in Elgin, Beauharnois, Quebec, Canada, as a labourer and a Methodist. He has not been found in later census records. He could easily have moved away and it would be impossible to identify him in census searches as there were a billion Robert Browns born about 1826 in Ireland living in North America. Some of his siblings moved to Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Iowa, so he could be anywhere.
