  According the Llewella McIntyre's notes, Elisabeth Stewart married a McNaughton. His exact identity is not confirmed, and it is not known if she married in Scotland or Canada, but he could be John McNaughtan of Balquhidder. If so, then they were married in May 1834 just prior to the family leaving for Canada.
