Notes |
- His father is described as having married "late." His parents were residing in Florence, Italy at the time of Carlos' birth, so Florence is presumed to be the location of his brith. Carlos served as a colonel in the vatican army and was still alive in 1848.
Carlos (or Charles) is presumed to have been named after Prince Charles Edward Stuart, exiled Prince of Scots, for whom Carlos' father served as valet and majordomo for most of his life.
It is not known if Carlos married or had children.
Only Carlo survived infancy, becoming a high ranking officer of the Papal State and later General of the Roman Republic of 1849.
