John Robertson Aitcheson, age 24, residing in Blenheim, farmer, son of Alexander Aitcheson and Mary Aticheson, married Jane Hamilton, age 18, residing in Blenheim, daughter of Martin and Agnes Hamilton. Witnesses: Robert and Agnes Davidson. John Robertson Aitchison died of injuries from being struck by a cart. He is not the son of this Alexander Aitcheson: Inscription Erected by Alexander Aitchison, Fisherman, in memory of his daughter, Jane, who departed this life on 25th Sep 1857 aged one year and five months. Also of James Aitchison, his son, who was drowned on North Shields Bar 15th day of June 1869 aged 24 years. Also of John Aitchison, his son, who was killed by lightning in the boat Ten Brothers, Shields Bar, on the 18th June 1872 aged 25 years. Also the above Alexander Aitchison, who died 8th April 1882 aged 73 years. Also Hugh Aitchison, his son, who died 12th May 1873 aged 36 years. This can't be the father of John Robertson Aitcheson as this Alexander's son John died at age 25 by lightning.
