Notes - Enlisted as a Sapper, Service number 2500669 in the Railway Construction Depot, Canadian Expeditionary Force in Hamilton, Ontario on 25 May 1918. He served in the 9 C.R.T. and was discharged from the service by reason of demobilization on 1 Apr 1919 in Hamilton, Ontario. (Find A Grave)

He was an Anglican by birth but became Baptist at his time of marriage.
