• Notes

James Stewart's birth has not been identified. He is most likely from one of the Glen Ogle families given that his daughter Elizabeth's family were in Inverlochlarig Mor and latterly in Stank. Corriechrombie is immediately south of Stank and across from Tombae. James Stewart and Ann/Agnes Malcolm/McCallum had only two registered children. No marriage has been found for them. A few years later, an Ann McCallum was having children nearby with Donald Stewart. No marriage for that couple either. It's not known if the two Anns are the same person. 25 May 1775, 28 May 1775, Janet, daughter of Donald STEWART and Ann MAC ALLUM in Kilmahog 20 Sep 1777, 21 Sep 1777, Alex, son of Donald STEWART and Ann MCALLUM in Dam Head of Leney
