• Notes

Online trees give Archibald's parents as John Stewart and Christina McDonald, based on the fact that Archibald was visiting with John and Christina in 1851, however Archibald is listed as a visitor, not as their son. However, if correct, then Christina may be the daughter of Archibald Stewart had a nephew, Duncan Stewart, who was the informant on the death of Archibald's daughter Janet Stewart.
