  Janet Stewart was born 15 Jun 1777 in Ballernock, Drymen, Stirlingshire, Scotland, as a daughter of Andrew Stewart and Katherine McDonald. "Janet, 15/6/1777, dtr of Andrew Stewart and Katharine McDonald, in Ballernock of Drymen, born 15 Jun, bapt 16 Jun 1777." (Aberfoyle Parish Register) In 1835, Janet Stewart was listed in the Drymen Parish Communion Examination Roll as residing in Tuair with her brother, Alexander Stewart and his wife. ("Alex’r and Mrs Stewart, Janet Stewart in Tuair.") Janet Stewart was not residing with her brother Alexander in the 1841 census and has not been found elsewhere. She is presumed to have died before 1841. It is believed that Janet Stewart never married nor had children.
