  Nob’r 28 1702, Duncan McFarlane in the parish of Calander and Margrat Stewart lawful daughter to Jon Stewart in Calagartmore in this parish gave up y’r names to proclamation in order to marriage. They were married at the ~~~~ of Inshdoer? [illegible] wit. Jon Stewart & D’n McFarlane. (Aberfoyle Parish Register) He is believed to be the Duncan McFarlane who witnessed the baptism of John Stewart, 9/6/1717 in Aberfoyle, son of James Stewart in Culgartmore, shown here as Duncan's wife's brother. No children have been found for Duncan McFarlane and Margaret Stewart, however the Callander parish register did not begin recording baptisms until about 1710.
