Robert Stewart has not been confidently identified in the 1841 census. He is believed to have been residing in Barony, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland, where his son, Andrew, was born, but there are too many possible matches to confirm which one is him. His wife, Margaret, and their infant son, Andrew, were residing with Margaret's father, Andrew Morrison, in Tomachar, Port of Menteith, Perthshire, Scotland in 1841. No such place has been found and is likely to be an error for either Tomnagarrow or Treuchan. Treuchan is preferred as it is on the Gartmore estate where their next child was born in 1843.
