• Notes

This person is not known to exist and is thus named "blank." There is a signficant gap in the birth order of children for John Stewart and Isabel Doig into which the births of two or three other children likely fit and for whom their baptismal registrations have not survived or were never recorded. Given that the parents closely follow the traditional naming pattern for their sons, it is likely that they also did so for their daughters. In which case the two missing births were likely for daughters named after their grandmothers, Margaret and unknown.
