  It was about this time [1750] that Daniel Cuthbert, of whom nothing is known save that he was a Scot and in all likelihood related to John and Ann Cuthbert of Mulberry Grove, settled south of the Joseph's Town estate on George Dunbar's tract. There is no record of an allotment to him of the 500 acres. Daniel Cuthbert left Georgia or died previously to 1763, and his plantation fell into the hands of George Cuthbert, either through sale or inheritance. (Savannah)
