• Notes

  After Annie's father's death, Annie moved from Jamaica to England along with her widowed mother and other siblings, save for her oldest brother. She is erroneously recorded in "The Cuthberts of Castlehill" as having married her cousin George Cuthbert from South Carolina, USA, son of Gen. John A. Cuthbert and Mary Dupré Heyward. This is contradicted by English census and death records which show her as an elderly spinster residing in Clifton, Gloucestershire, England until 1855. She resided with her sister Elizabeth and both are recorded as "fund holders".
