  Abraham followed his brother, Thomas, to Canada and settled near him in Kent County, Ontario. In 1881, Abraham was living at Leehall, Bellingham, North Tynedale, Northumberland, England, on the farm of John Usher Bell. This is next door to the farm that Abraham's sister, Annie Dawson, and her husband, Luke Bell, were living at. John Usher Bell had a brother named Luke Bell, however, at present there is no known relationship between the two Bell families.
