Notes - In 1891, at age 7, William Angus was residing at Silk Mill Estate in Lancaster, Lancashire, England, with his parents and siblings.
In 1901, at age 17, William Angus was residing at 6 Albion Street in Lancaster, Lancashire, England with his parents and siblings. He was employed as an apprentice iron moulder.
In 1908, William moved to Toronto, York, Ontario, Canada where he married in 1911 in the Roman Catholic church to Sarah Rainsford, a Roman Catholic, at which time he converted to Roman Catholicism.
In 1911, at age 28, William Angus was residing at 178 Dover Court Road in Toronto, York, Ontario, Canada, employed as an iron moulder. He was a Roman Catholic. He was residing with the family of John and Elizabeth Banton (or Barton) who were no known relation.
In 1913, William and had their first and only known child, William Angus Jr.
William worked as a moulder at the time of his WWI attestation papers for the CEF. He served with the 36th Peel Regiment of the militia. His death registration was witnessed by his brother Charles Angus.
William has not been located in the 1921 Canadian census.
On his passenger record in 1922 when he was travelling back to Lancaster to visit his parents, he gives his religion as Roman Catholic.
