Dobson". The birth record of Isabella Dobson lists her father's name as "John Preston Dobson". The census gives his birth year as approximately 1845. 1891 census confirms his identity as John Preston Dobson. Sometime in the early 1880s his first wife Alice died and he married secondly as shown here. Census records show his birth place as Lancaster.
