• Notes

  Census records and children's marriage records indicate that John Farslow came from Ireland. However, Farslow does not appear to be a Protestant surname domestic to Ireland. It is, however, found in Wales. And, since John's descendants were Methodist (a denomination popular in Wales) it seems likely that the Farslows were Welsh imports into Northern Ireland sometime in the 18th century or earlier.
