Notes |
- It is not certain that Constantine, 2nd Earl of Fife, was actually the father of Gillemichael, 3rd Earl of Fife. He was his predecessor as Earl of Fife, but it is not known for certain if the earldom was passed from father to son during the first two known "generations" of the earldom. Gillemichael succeeded Constantine and is presumed to be his son. The same holds true for the relationship between Constantine and his "father", Dufagan, 1st Earl of Fife -- there too, no certainly blood line is known.
