  Coonrad is recorded as having died in Gainsborough in 1881 at the age of 84 and also having been born in Gainsborough. His death certificate uses the name "Coonrad Furlow". Canadian immigration records list a "Koonrad Furler", age 80 in 1875, who claimed a federal benefit for having been a militiaman from 1812-1815 (during the war of 1812). The age difference is only 2 years, which is close enough for dating discrepencies. In the 1828 Niagara Census "Coonrad Furlough" is found living nearby to the "Widow Furlough", who is actually Nancy Furler nee Springsteen, suggesting that Coonrad Furler and William Furler are likely brothers.
