• Notes

  At least one of the male descendants of this branch were known as "Drummond alias Galloch". In fact the descendants of Duncan's son Donald Drummond-alias-Galloch, who remained on the farm, and are presumed to be the senior surviving domestic branch, went solely by the surname of Drummond hereafter. It seems highly plausible that the family surname is, in fact, Drummond and that Galloch is simply a nickname-cum-surname.
