  Donald Galloch alias Drummond is believed to be the son of Duncan Galloch, but this is not verified. He is described in one account as "preacher of the Gospel at Wester Cowden" near Drummonderinoch in Upper Strathearn. His son William is known to have been minister in that church and there may be some confusion as to whether Donald was also a minister there. Descendants of this branch claim that Donald was born about 1697, but this is unverified. Donald is believed to have married twice, having only one child by his first wife, Ellspith McKinnes, then marrying Janet Cramb, by whom he is recorded as having 7 children. There is also a Duncan Galloch born to Donald Galloch in 1736 by an unknown mother. It is believed the father is this same Donald Galloch, however this is supposition based solely on IGI data.
