• Notes

  In 1861 David was residing in Deanston with his parents and working in the local cotton mill. In 1871 he was residing in Barony, Glasgow with his wife and 19 year old brother-in-law Robert McGregor. David was working as an engine fitter at the time. In 1881 David was residing in Deanston with his wife and children and was employed as an iron fitter. In 1891 David was enumerated while at work at #2 Bonny Muir Brick Works, Falkirk Landward, Stirlingshire, Scotland along with his son John. They were boarding with the family of John Gow from Kincardine. In 1901 David was residing at Loanfoot Cottage, Denny, Stirlingshire, Scotland with his wife and children and was employed as a millwright.
