Notes - In 1859, Isabella Hemingway married to James Stewart. They moved almost immediately to Brazil where their first recorded daughter was born in 1863. They returned to Scotland prior to the birth of their next child in 1864.
Isabella is not found in 1861 and is presumed to have been in Brazil.
In 1871, at age 37, Isabella H Stewart was residing at Upper Hythie, Old Deer, Aberdeenshire, Scotland with her children. James Stewart was absent. She was recorded as a crofter of 12 acres.
In 1872, James Stewart died.
