• Notes

  Hilda married in 1937 to Bill Hunter. Unlike her two older sisters, she did not receive a new house built by her father, Dick Jones, as a wedding present. Dick's construction business had been hit hard by the Great Depression and he could not afford to build his youngest daughter a marital home. Hilda lived to be 100 years old when the average lifespan for someone born at that time was 50 years.
