  Christian McDonald's birth has not been identified. However she is a perfect chronological and onomastic match for Christy McDonald, born Mar 1805, daughter of John McDonald of Blarcrioch and Margaret Stewart of Cashlies. If so, this would make Christian's daughter Anne McKinley a distant cousin of her husband, Alexander Stewart. The only hitch is that Mrs Stewart of Milton in her account of this family says that Christy McDonald died in childhood. However, Mrs Stewart of Milton has been found to be incorrect on other similar claims.
