1901 David,6 (William,5 Charles,4 John,3 Robert,2 Walter,1) b. in Colrain, Feb. 24, 1761. He was a soldier under Gen. Daniel Shays ; m. Miriam Haven, b. in Hopkinton, Mass., Dec. 27, 1760. He was an active and successful farmer, his land being in that part of Colrain known as Bernardston Gore. The little low, long, weather-beaten house is still standing (1903) which he erected for himself in 1793. He d. April 4, 1830. She d. Nov. 23, 1845. (Severence)

1904 Death Cert: Robert McNie Stewart, retired farmer, born 29 JAN 1846 in Renfrew, son of Robert Stewart and Jane McNie (both born Scotland), died 10 APR 1933 in Horton, Renfrew.

In 1991 Robert and Margaret are found residing in McNab, Renfrew, with nephew and niece George Burton 13 and Bella Burton 11. They have no children of their own.

His mother was a Stewart, a sister of Stewart in Auchnallader, (an aunt) of Helen Muir Stewart, Dec. 27th 1925 - Information from Helen Muir Stewart." This refers to Margaret Stewart, sister of Donald Stewart of Auchalader, above, who married Alexander McNaughton. Margaret would have been a great-aunt to Helen Muir Stewart.
